Wherever I am, I belong
The Quiet Observer is a series of self-portraits shaped by a conviction that emerged across two continents and three countries: that belonging is not something a place gives you. It is something you carry.
I withhold my face, quietly observing. Without the familiar reference of a face, the figure remains anonymous and the viewer brings their own interpretation.
Each photograph begins from the same certainty: I already belong. The places I pass through do not grant that belonging. They reveal it.
